Learning Objectives:
This course is designed to guide physicians in diagnosing and monitoring patients with JIA-associated TMJ arthritis, as well as differentiating JIA-associated TMJ arthritis and its mimickers.
The course will cover JIA-associated TMJ arthritis, imaging techniques for the TMJ, systemic treatment approaches, and orthodontic treatment using orthopedic devices.
It will also touch on surgical interventions available.
In addition, there will be a hands-on part in the course, how to evaluate the TMJ in patients and there will be time to practice in small groups.
We request that participants complete certain tasks prior to the course, including undertaking the online OSCE on examining the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
Additional details will be provided to participants in the weeks leading up to the meeting.
