CARRA-PReS Collaborative Research Award

CARRA and PReS are pleased to announce a joint funding opportunity to foster collaborative research among early career investigators in paediatric rheumatology.
This award provides €50,000 (or USD equivalent) over a two-year period to support projects that leverage the strengths of both organisations, address priority research topics, and engage patients in meaningful ways. The application deadline is 20 April 2026, with projects starting in August, September, or October 2026.
Eligible applicants must include two co-PIs: one current CARRA member from North America and one current PReS member from outside North America. Both must be faculty (not fellows) within 10 years of completing training and have up-to-date membership information. Funds may be used for meetings, generating preliminary data, or pilot studies that lay the groundwork for larger initiatives.
Applications must be submitted electronically via Proposal Central. Required materials include a project summary, lay summary, specific aims, research plan, timeline, budget, biosketches, and letters of support.
