This page is dedicated to health professionals activities during the PReS 2024 congress, and provides useful information to Health Professionals to prepare their participation at the congress.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Last year at our PReS meeting in Rotterdam you were all challenged to help increase our Health Professional representation at congress in Gothenburg. Health Professionals often do not have access to funding to attend such fabulous learning opportunities and often do not want to attend alone if they do not know anyone else. Last year in 2023 we only had 50 health professionals attend congress, with other 1000 other participants. Please can each physician encourage and support a health professional to attend this years congress in person with you. If you can identify and support a Health Professional to attend with you who has never had the opportunity to be at PReS before, encourage them to write an email to me that you have supported them, then you both will get entered into a draw to win a prize. This year the registration for Health Professionals is the lowest it has ever been, and early bird savings are available until the 12th June. We have a fabulous program planned, the opportunity to meet others in similar roles across the world and to join our community, plus our Swedish HP friends are organising a fabulous networking dinner! Please help identify other sources of funding, write letters of support to their managers or encourage them to apply for a HP bursary. If two physicians are attending from the same centre, bring two HP colleagues, and they can further support each other. Hopefully we can double our Health Professional numbers and support their professional development and opportunity to network and meet others!

Thank you in advance.

Kindest regards
Dr Polly Livermore, Chair of the PReS Health Professionals polly.livermore@ucl.ac.uk
