The Royal Rowing and Sailing Association 'De Maas' was founded in 1851 and is therefore one of the oldest water sports associations in the Netherlands. The Association has a beautiful Club House on the Maas, from which it takes its name, and from which one has a beautiful view of the river with all its shipping. The current Association building at the Veerhaven was built in 1909.
