A limited number of travel grants and bursaries will be available and will be awarded to presenting authors of accepted abstracts fulfilling the application criteria.

Application for PReS Travel Grants, Hardship Bursaries and Health Professional Bursaries are integrated into the abstract submission. Priority is given to applications from low-income countries.

Deadline to apply for a grant or bursary is the same as the abstract submission deadline13 May 2026

The amount of the grant / bursary will ONLY be provided in cash during the PReS Congress. All congress-related expenses are the responsibility of the bursary recipient.

PReS Travel Grant

PReS is pleased to offer travel grants to young investigators who require support to attend the PReS congress (for PReS members only).

A travel grant of up to EUR 200 is available for PReS members of less than 45 years of age, coming from lower income countries. The amount of the travel grant will be provided in cash during the PReS Congress only. All congress-related expenses are the responsibility of the travel grant recipient.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Below 45 years of age at the time of the conference (born after 01.01.1981)

  • Letter of motivation

  • Letter of support issued by mentor/director

Hardship Bursary

A hardship bursary of EUR 500 is available for PReS members from medium-low and low-income countries. The amount of the hardship bursary will be provided in cash during the PReS Congress only. All congress-related expenses are the responsibility of the bursary recipient.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Letter of motivation

  • Letter of support issued by mentor/director

     

Health Professional Bursary

A limited number of bursaries of EUR 200.- is available for non-medical health professionals who have submitted an abstract and either are or will become a PReS member before the 1st August 2026.

The health professional committee will send you a form to express your interest in obtaining the bursary considering the following aspects:

  • You clearly explain how this would help your development and why you want to attend

  • You have tried other avenues to get other funding from

  • You will attend this year’s congress in person

  • You have submitted an abstract
