Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Pediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS) as well as the Organizing Committee and Scientific Committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend to the 25th European Pediatric Rheumatology Congress (PReS 2018) that will be held from September 5th to September 8th 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The Congress will take place at the Lisbon Congress Center (CCL) which is located close to the river Tagus and the historical and cultural heritage of Belem, just a few minutes from the city center, in a prime area with a vast transport supply.

In line with previous congresses organized by PReS, this will be a place for challenging presentations and enriching debates of the more recent scientific investigations, including new syndromes and their treatment, trials for old diseases of young people and an up-to-date of care of the more severe juvenile rheumatic diseases.

We will have to select the more valuable abstracts to be presented both by young and mature Pediatric Rheumatologists from Europe and around the World that certainly will, as usually happens, help to advance the field of Pediatric Rheumatology both in basic science and in clinical practice.

Lisbon is a rather cosmopolitan city, the capital of Portugal who was recently considered the third most peaceful country in the World. Having a history of over two thousand years this city will show you its treasures, old and new, and will help you to understand our hospitality and the reasons why the Portuguese had such a success in finding other continents and places over the centuries. Our local organization team is fully dedicated to help you feel in Lisbon as if you were at home and, let us be a little ambitious, perhaps even a little better...

Please go to your diary and save the date 5-8 September 2018 and we can assure you that you will not regret it!

It’ll be our pleasure to welcome you in Lisbon for this important scientific Congress!

Warmest regards,

José Melo-Gomes
President of the Local Organizing Committee
